David's Role:

David played Audrey, a gender unspecific director of an ill-fated musical who gets offended and storms off when Christian's suggestions win over his cast.

Trivia:

Co-producer, co-writer and director Baz Luhrmann also wrote, directed and produced Australia. Baz likes to workshop his movies before filming. David was involved in the workshop for Romeo and Juliet, but did not appear in the film.

Nicole Kidman starred in Australia and Lion.

Richard Roxburgh has worked with David in several projects including the plays That Eye, The Sky, Blue Remembered Hills and Hamlet, and the films A Little Bit of Soul, Van Helsing, Legend of the Guardians and Blinky Bill.

Jacek Koman was in the plays Hamlet, The Tempest, The Splendids and Tartuffe, the telefilm Simone De Beauvior's Babies and the movie Australia, as well as the stage productions of Hamlet and The Tempest.
