Synopsis and Cast:
The tale of Prospero, who had been banished to a remote island with his daughter, and how he uses magic and manipulation against those who exiled him.

David played Alonso, the King of Naples, who is one of the people who exiled Prospero. He is separated from his son, whom he believes has died. He plots to kill Prospero, but the man has the upper hand.
Richard Roxburgh has worked with David in several projects including the plays That Eye, The Sky, Blue Remembered Hills and Hamlet, and the films Moulin Rouge, A Little Bit of Soul, Van Helsing, Legend of the Guardians and Blinky Bill.
Cate Blanchett starred in Heartland and was in Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.
The following actors also appeared in the productions of Hamlet: Cate Blanchett, Peter Carroll, Ralph Cotterill, Gillian Jones, Keith Robinson, Kevin Smith, Jason Clarke, Russell Kiefel and Jacek Koman.
Barry Otto (Roy) was also in the play Cosi and the film version of Cosi as well. He was also in the film Australia, and the animated films Legend of the Guardians, A Cautionary Tale and Blinky Bill.
Jacek Koman was in The Splendids, Tartuffe, Simone De Beauvior's Babies, Moulin Rouge and Australia.
Ralph Cotterill was in The Splendids and The Proposition as Dr. Bantrey.
Keith Robinson was in Moulin Rouge.
Jason Clarke was in Public Enemies and Better Than Sex.
Russell Kiefel was in No Escape.
Director Neil Armfield also directed Hamlet. Gillian Jones was in Come in Spinner.
Armfield's new troupe storms in with Tempest:

over in embarrassment, played out in meticulous detail, almost in slow motion. The attention
given this scene brings it far enough forward for the whole play, for once, to make sense."
